Jana Kramer bio
Jana Kramer gained fame as an actress, singer of country music and songwriter after she appeared in the series One Tree Hill. She played Alex for three of its last four seasons. Her first few releases as a singer-songwriter appeared on the episodes of the series helping her debut album, titled "Eponymous," into the Top 20 in the Billboard 200. Thirty One (2015), the album which followed in 2015, was also among the Top Ten. Her decade was rounded out by appearances on Dancing with the Stars. The self-doubting Voices was released in 2021. Jana Rae Kramer was born and brought up in Rochester Hills Michigan. She grew up listening to country music, and later went on to pursue a career in recording. However, she made her acting debut as a teenager in 2002's indie horror movie Dead/Undead. Through the years Kramer was a regular on a variety of shows, including All My Children and CSI: NY before landing the recurring role as Noelle Davenport in NBC's Friday Night Lights in the second season (2007-2008). Kramer was later cast to portray Portia Ranson in 90210 (2008-2009) and Brooke Manning, in Entourage (2009) prior to when she was cast in One Tree Hill by the CW as Alex Dupre. Kramer remained with the One Tree Hill team until about half-way through the final season (2012). Jana Kramer Kramer's run on One Tree Hill saw her sign a record contract with Elektra Records. In 2011 she released her modern music video for the love song of a country singer I Won't Give Up. The song was later featured in Jana Kramer, her debut album that debuted in 2012. The song was featured on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, which is in the Top Five. She continued to act in films such as Heart of the Country 2013 or Country Crush 2016 which would appeal to her fans. In October 2015, Kramer dropped her debut album Thirty One from Warner Music Nashville. Thanks to the Top Five country hit I Got the Boy as well as an duet featuring Steven Tyler of Aerosmith it fared even better reaching number three on the country album chart and number ten on the Billboard 200. The two-month stint on Dancing with the Stars 23rd season ended in her placing fourth. That same year, the song"Feels Like" Christmas with Straight No Chaser became hugely popular among adults.
